Meet the designers: Jurgen
Meet Jurgen Spreutels, who has been working at Erve as a designer for over 20 years. He brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to the team.
"I studied at Sint Lucas school of art in Brussels, specializing in advertisement," Jurgen shares. "I am also a board game designer in my free time and a big Gi-Joe collector."
On a typical workday, Jurgen begins by checking his emails and attending a daily meeting to review the workload for the day. "I love to finish one task before moving on to another and check my mailbox three times a day," Jurgen says. He enjoys the variety of tasks that he gets to work on and is involved in many different parts of the company. "If there is a renovation needed in the office, I am the first one to jump in. I love to find better workflows and come up with new ideas to make work faster," he adds.
When it comes to his favourite Duda, Jurgen choses the Speed Duda. "It's not easy to put speed and quality in one sentence, but I hope I can say that I try every day," he says.
Jurgen's expertise lies in packaging and trying to make work easier without losing quality. He brings this knowledge to the design team, along with his skills in specific programs and projects.
Looking towards the future, Jurgen sees the industry moving towards 3D and the Metaverse. "The future is 3D and the Metaverse, but I think there will still be enough room for real stores and coming together in real life," Jurgen shares. He believes that as printers continue to innovate, designs will follow, and pushing the design to another level may require printers to follow.
Overall, Jurgen is an essential part of Erve’s design team, bringing his expertise, creativity, and passion to the company's products.
"I have been working here for 20 years now and I still enjoy the variation in the job. You can make your own quick decisions, and I am involved in many different parts of the company," Jurgen concludes.
