🌍 Welcoming New Perspectives
Salam joined the Erve Group on January 2nd, 2025, bringing with him deep experience from the RMG sector, particularly in compliance. From day one, he immersed himself in Erve’s CSR operations, onboarding procedures, and key platforms such as BCI, Control Union, and Tex.tracer. “The first month has been good,” he shares, “I’ve learned so much—from how we onboard factories to how we collaborate globally.”
Elango started just a few days later, on January 6th, 2025, and echoes the value of hands-on learning. “I underwent extensive training and acclimated myself to the organization’s environment,” he notes. Both highlight the importance of teamwork, with Salam praising the “immense support” from Sujeewa and Kyra, and Elango appreciating the guidance that helped him learn from early challenges.
🤝 Local Strength, Global Collaboration
Both Salam and Elango emphasize how their local teams have played a crucial role in getting them started. In Bangladesh, Salam notes the collaboration with business and CSR colleagues who assist in collecting key documentation and ensuring certifications are in place. Elango describes his team in India as “friendly and full of valuable advice,” especially when it comes to working with suppliers across regions.
They’ve also felt the impact of global collaboration. “The global CSR presence is felt in every task,” says Salam. “It’s a well-connected system that helps ensure consistency and transparency across all our sourcing regions.”
👣 Roles That Make a Difference
Salam serves as CSR Manager in Bangladesh, conducting audits, supporting compliance, and promoting supplier transparency. His approach is clear: “I value integrity. When factories are transparent, we can identify risks early and grow together sustainably.”
Elango, as CSR Officer in India, conducts facility audits, manages corrective action plans, and helps suppliers align with Erve’s values. “I find immense fulfillment in contributing to meaningful social impact,” he says.
💬 Why CSR?
For both, CSR is more than a job—it’s a passion. Salam was drawn to CSR after realizing the potential of Bangladesh’s garments sector to uplift communities. “This field lets me ensure legal standards and support underprivileged individuals,” he explains. Elango adds, “My work allows me to align personal values with professional skills—making my work purposeful and fulfilling.”
🚀 Looking Ahead
With a shared ambition to grow and contribute, Salam and Elango are already setting their sights on the future. Salam is committed to supporting Erve’s three-year growth targets: “I am fully aligned with the company’s vision and will do my part from a CSR perspective.” Elango is focused on enhancing supplier engagement, boosting communication, and driving innovation in CSR practices.

For Salam, it’s all about Ownership—a value he’s embraced throughout his career. “Ownership is the key to getting things done right,” he says. Elango praises Duda’s support system, highlighting how it enables him to perform more effectively and enjoyably.
