Finance Lead

Erve is a European leader in character licenses and brands. We produce branded fashion and apparel featuring TV, film, cartoon, and video game heroes. Our head office and showroom are in Zaventem near Brussels.

🔎 What is the role all about?

• Accounting & Closing process: this will be the core of the position.

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing

  • Ensure statutory compliance and accurate financial statements

  • Lead audit process (external auditors, documentation, follow-up)

  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and balances

  • Oversee consolidation inputs and group reporting

• Cash & Treasury

  • Manage cash flow, payments, loans, and hedging

  • Maintain relationships with banks and insurance partners

• Reporting and financial insights

• Team & Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate a small finance team (2 FTE)

  • Ensure deadlines, quality, and process discipline

  • Support team development

  • Be operationally involved when times are busy, we don't need a distant manager but someone who is able to coordinate AND work operationally as well when required.

• Co-drive process improvements and standardization across the group

• Masters degree in Economics/Accounting and proven track record in accounting roles and experience in an international/multi-entity environment

• Experience with ERP systems, Excel and BI as we are currently working on big migration projects.

• Hands-on mentality with the ability to coordinate a small team.

• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, where structure is not always present.

• Proven written and oral communication skills in Dutch and ENG.
