Compliance
“In order to live up to the high standards that we have set for ourselves and are expected by the brand owners and licensors we work with, we ask from all our suppliers to comply with a list of aspirational regulations.”
Code of Conduct (CoC) & Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) Policy
All our suppliers need to comply with our Code of Conduct and our RBC policy. Our CoC contains what is expected from the entire supply chain in terms of social (for instance: respecting human rights) and environmental behaviour and protection of the environment.
Our CoC is based on guidelines from the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development that works to build better policies for better lives) and ILO (International Labour Organization) conventions and the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) Code of Conduct and the ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) Code of Conduct.
Additional topics have been added, such as regulations on the use of chemicals and the prohibition of corruption. Our Code of Conduct applies to all suppliers, their subcontractors and all other business partners that do business with Erve Group.
Additional requirements
In addition to compliance to the CoC and RBC Policy, we expect all suppliers to be able to provide a valid social audit report (BSCI, ILS, SMETA or SA8000). It’s a plus when a supplier also has anenvironmental audit report (Higg FEM, Amfori BEPI, ISO14001, STeP).
As we work with Disney, we comply with the Disney International Labor Standard and we are FAMA (Facility and Merchandise Authorization) approved. Our suppliers will need to comply with these regulations as well.
We only work with certified suppliers. We audit our suppliers on a regular basis and after each audit, the supplier receives a plan of improvement. For the areas where the supplier can improve, we ask the supplier to make a corrective action plan on how the conditions will be improved. We help our suppliers in this process by providing training and advice.
