Since its start at the end of 2021 in Tiruppur, Erve India has been working hard to grow the business of putting famous characters on clothes, just like Erve does in Europe. Two key members of the team, Thanga and Vishnu, have shared their journey and hopes with us.
Thanga joined the Erve/Beconnected group five years ago. As the head of the merchandising team in India, he looks after everything from setting prices to getting our clothes out to customers in Europe.
"My job is to make sure all the parts of our business work together well. It's a big task, but I love it," says Thanga. He played a big role in starting Erve India's license work. "Seeing people wear our clothes with their favorite characters is exciting. It's about making what people love and want to buy," he explains.
Vishnu came to Erve/Beconnected with a background in making clothes and has now been with us for six years. His work involves everything from finding the right suppliers to making sure orders are done right.
"I split my workday to make sure I can do my best for both Beconnected and Erve India," he says. Vishnu is excited about what's next. "I see great things ahead for us. We're all about trying new things, using the latest tech, and staying on top of what our customers need," he shares.
Erve India has a clear goal: to make clothes that mix the famous characters we all know with the special touch of Indian style. Thanga and Vishnu are a vital part part of this goal; they're making sure Erve India is a name partners know and trust for years to come.
