Originally from Salem, Tamilnadu in Southern India, Ram brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to our Belgium office. Let's take a moment to get acquainted with Ram and his captivating journey.
Ram holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Instrumentation Engineering, which steered him into the world of instrumentation. However, his ardor for the apparel industry soon took over, and he's now gathered an impressive six years of experience in this dynamic field.
Bridging Continents: Ram's Role and Learning Quest
Within BeConnected India, Ram operates as a Merchandiser, primarily managing License orders. Seeking to broaden his skill set and gain deeper insights into diverse industry aspects, Ram set out for our Belgium office. His goal is to comprehend customer handling, sales, and logistics – vital front-end components complementing his production-oriented expertise.
Eager to contribute, Ram is excitedly supporting web shop orders, collaborative production endeavors, and assisting with P.R & S.R tasks during his time in Belgium. He's joined the Merchandising circle at Erve, enriching the team with his unique Indian perspective.

Embracing Change: Ram's Belgium Adventure
Ram's experience acknowledges the contrast in work cultures between India and Belgium, attributed to the nature of tasks. With an open heart, he's eager to adapt to this new environment while sharing his valuable experiences. A tranquil ambiance and cultural vibrancy characterize Belgium for him.
Adjusting to late summer sunsets posed a unique challenge for Ram, but he's embracing the adventure that his time in Belgium presents.
“I am learning basic Dutch to communicate effectively during my stay.” Ram says. “I’ve picked up phrases like ‘Goedemorgen,’ ‘Dank je wel,’ and ‘Tot straks’. I really want to to embrace the local culture.”
Learning Across Borders: Ram's Path Forward
Ram's journey extends beyond geographical boundaries, as he looks to integrate practices from Belgium into India upon his return. His eagerness to share his experiences mirrors his commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
Belgium has sparked Ram's wanderlust, and his European travel wishlist includes France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.
As Ram readies himself to depart Belgium, he carries back invaluable insights, a spirit of friendship, and personal growth. Erve's cross-continental connections continue to flourish, with individuals like Ram bridging cultures and contributing to our global success.
